Eastern Phoebe photographed at Collinsville, CT — Sitting upright on a bare branch, watching for bugs flying by. It repeatedly darted out into the air to catch an insect before returning to the same branch. Eastern Phoebes are common flycatchers known for bobbing their tails up and down whenever they perch.
